Can I turn my wheelchair on or turn off with the remote control?
No. The wheelchair’s power must be turned on before the remote control is turned on. This allows the controller to pair with the chair.
Is my wheelchair delivered assembled?
Your wheelchair will arrive almost ready to use. Upon delivery you will just need to attach a few remaining parts.
Can I take my wheelchair on a plane or cruise ship?
Yes the 7.5AH (180WH) lithium ion battery is approved for air and sea travel, by airlines and cruise companies. Before your trip it's advisable to reach out to the airline or cruise line to confirm their rules regarding traveling with batteries.
Is it safe to use my wheelchair when the backrest is reclined?
Although your wheelchair can still operate with the backrest reclined its not recommended to move the chair in this position as it could lead to tipping over and potential injuries.
What should I do if my wheelchair battery dies?
If your chair loses power you can manually push it like a wheelchair. Simply turn off the power. Disengage both motors by unlocking them using the levers on each motor. This will allow your wheelchair to move freely in mode.
Does my remote control come pre synced with my chair?
Indeed your remote control is already synced with your chair upon delivery. Is there a way to turn off the beeping sound my wheelchair makes when I reverse?
Yes you can silence the beeping by pressing the (+) key on the controller until you reach speed then hold down the button until you see an amber light in the display. Quickly press the horn button and the beeping will cease. Repeat these steps if you want to restore the beeping sound.
Can I raise the armrests?
Certainly! Both armrests can be raised to facilitate transfers or enable you to move your chair to a table, with ease.
How should I charge the battery?
You can charge the lithium ion battery using either the joystick controller or by connecting it to the battery. It takes 6 8 hours for a depleted battery to charge completely. If your battery is partially charged it will take time. Once fully charged unplug both ends of the charger from both battery and power outlet.
Can I place my controller on either side of my wheelchair?
Absolutely. The control panel will be positioned on the right hand side of the wheelchair. It can be conveniently shifted to the side if needed.
Is it possible to use my wheelchair on terrain, like dirt and grass?
Absolutely. The IQ 9000 is designed to navigate through grass and packed dirt effortlessly.
